Nuestro alumno de 1º Bachillerato Jorge Barallobre, que se encuentra participando en la II International Youth Scientific Congress INVESTIGA I+D+i en Madrid, ha sido elegido para dar un discurso en la clausura de dicho evento internacional, dentro de su área de estudio, el grafeno, siendo el único español que lo ha conseguido, gracias tanto a su gran conocimiento del tema en cuestión, como a su gran nivel de inglés.
Este congreso, en el que han participado entre el 20 y el 25 de octubre un total de ochenta jóvenes de 16 años, procedentes de Alemania, Bélgica, Dinamarca, Eslovenia, España, Italia, México, Países Bajos, Polonia y Serbia, tiene como principal objetivo fomentar entre los estudiantes el interés por la investigación, la tecnología y la innovación.
Our 1º Bachillerato student Jorge Barallobre, who is currently participating in the II International Youth Scientific Congress INVESTIGA I+D+I, in Madrid, has been chosen to give the closure speech in this event, in his area of study, the graphene. He is the only Spanish student selected for this, due to his great knowledge of the topic and his high level of English.
This congress started on the 20th October and finishes today. Eighty 16 years old students have participated, coming from Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Slovenia, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Holland, Poland and Serbia. The main objective has been to encourage the interest in investigation, technology and innovation amongst the students.
Esta actividad ha sido organizada por la Fundación San Patricio, con la colaboración de Banco Santander y el Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC).
Durante esta semana los alumnos han tenido la oportunidad de debatir con científicos y especialistas y de trabajar en grupos de investigación en el campus de Alcobendas de la Universidad Europea.

During this week the students have had the opportunity to debate with scientists and specialists in different areas, and be part of investigation groups in the Alcobendas Campus of the Universidad Europea.
