Gemma González Hernández, alumna de 2º de Bachillerato de El Centro Inglés, ha sido seleccionada para conseguir una de las Becas Europa tras pasar la 2º fase del proceso del concurso, que ha constado de dos partes: una entrevista colectiva en la que cada candidato aportaba una idea para un proyecto innovador y rentable (parte de la entrevista fue en inglés) y la realización de un montaje audiovisual con la temática «Quién soy, quién quiero ser, cómo lo hago».
Las Becas Europa es una iniciativa dentro del panorama preuniversitario europeo financiada por Banco de Santander y organizada por la Universidad Francisco de Vitoria. Estas becas buscan promover el compromiso de los jóvenes universitarios con el desarrollo de sus propios talentos para provecho de la sociedad, impulsar el crecimiento integral de los alumnos para que sean líderes profesionales éticos y dar a conocer a los jóvenes las posibilidades y el futuro de la sociedad en la que están y para la que se están formando.
Tras esta segunda fase, se han seleccionado a 300 candidatos, entre los cuales se encuentra esta alumna de El Puerto de Santa María, quien tendrá la oportunidad de llegar a la final como ya lo hizo su compañera Susana Osborne Valenzuela.
The English Centre, 2nd of Baccalaureate student Gemma González Hernández, has been selected to aim for one of the Europe Grants having passed the 2nd phase of the contest process, which has two parts: one group interview in which every candidate presents and idea for an innovating and profitable project (part of the interview was in English) and the fulfilment of an audio-visual film with the theme “Who am I, who I want to be, how do I do it”
The Europe Grants is an initiative within the European pre-university stage financed by the Banco de Santander and organised by Francisco University, Vitoria. These grants aim to promote the commitment of young university students with the development of their own talents for the benefit of society, to inspire students’ holistic growth, that they may be ethical professional leaders, and for them to know of the possibilities and the future of the society they live in and for which they are being formed.
After this second phase, 300 students have been selected, amongst which this student of El Puerto de is Santa Maria, who will have the opportunity of reaching the final as her fellow student Susana Osborne Valenzuela did.
