Hoy el Capellán del Centro, D. Antonio Sabido Salguero, presidió las celebraciones de la imposición de la Ceniza, acto con el cual la comunidad cristiana comienza la Cuaresma, el tiempo de preparación para la Semana Santa. Los alumnos de Primaria, desde 3º EPO hasta 6º de EPO, tuvieron su celebración a las 9:30 y los de Secundaria y de Bachillerato bajaron al Hall a las 10:30.
Ambos actos consistieron en la lectura de un Evangelio y la bendición e imposición de las Cenizas sobre las cabezas de los alumnos, en señal de Penitencia y conversión. La participación fue muy numerosa y se realizó un acto muy bonito y emotivo
The School chaplain, Mr. Antonio Sabido Salguero, lead the Ash Wednesday Ash Imposition ceremony, ceremony that marks beginning of Lent for the Christian community; a time to prepare for Easter. The Primary years 3 to 6 pupils enjoyed this celebration at 9:30am and the Secondary and Sixth Form pupils went to the Hall for this celebration at 10:30am.
Both ceremonies included the reading of a Gospel and the blessing and the Ash imposition on pupils’ heads, as a sign of Penitence and conversion. Many took part and the ceremony was lovely and emotional.
