No hay nada mejor que finalizar la semana con buenas noticias , los alumnos Carlos Ragel y Álvaro José Herrero, pasan a la fase final de las Becas Europa. ¡Enhorabuena por todo vuestro trabajo!

Recibir la noticia de que había llegado a la fase final fue una sensación increíble, fue como un escalofrío eléctrico que recorría mi sistema nervioso, fue galvánico. Tras más de medio año en el proceso de selección, superando las distintas pruebas y trabajando sin cesar en la siguiente ya por fin puedo divisar el final. Para bien o para mal ya estoy en la última fase. Además, mayor fue mi alegría al saber que, en esta fase en la que hemos de pasar un fin de semana de selección en Madrid, puedo estar acompañado de mi gran amigo Álvaro, que como yo ha llegado a esta fase. El desafío que se nos presenta ahora es el mayor de todos; competimos con los mejores de los mejores de toda España, pero siendo tan grande el desafío tan solo poder estar junto a todas esas personas tan talentosas es todo un honor. Y estar a su altura y poder conocerlos es el mejor de los premios.

Becas Europa es el claro ejemplo de que los sueños se pueden hacer realidad. Recuerdo el día que nos presentaron esta iniciativa, destinada a buscar a alumnos destacados en bachillerato. Realmente, entonces, me parecía casi imposible llegar a la última fase de selección; pero con trabajo y superación puedo sentirme orgulloso de haber superado las distintas fases hasta esta. E, independientemente de cómo proceda, sé que lo conseguido a día de hoy es muchísimo. Por ello, me gustaría agradecer a profesores, especialmente a la Ms Lourdes Torres, compañeros y familiares por habernos ayudado en esta travesía.

Receiving the news that I had reached the final phase was an incredible feeling, it was like an electric chill running down my nervous system, it was voltaic. After more than half a year in the selection process, passing the different tests and working incessantly on the next one, I can finally see the end. For better or worse I am already in the last phase. In addition, my joy was greater to know that, in this phase in which we have to spend a weekend of selection in Madrid, I can be accompanied by my great friend Álvaro, who like me has reached this stage. The challenge before us now is the greatest of all; we compete with the best of the best in all of Spain but being so great the challenge just to be able to be with all those talented people is an honor. And being at their level 6and being able to know them is the best of the awards.

Europe Scholarships is the clear example that dreams can come true. I remember the day we were presented with this initiative, aimed at looking for outstanding pupils in
secondary. Really, then, it seemed almost impossible to reach the last phase of selection; but with work and 63surpassing challenges, I can feel proud to have overcome the different phases until this one. And, regardless of how it proceeds, I know that what I have achieved today is a lot. Therefore, I would like to thank teachers, especially Ms Lourdes Torres, classmates, and family for having helped us on this journey.
