Durante estas semanas, nuestros alumnos voluntarios ECI han comenzado sus labores solidarias con algunas de las organizaciones e instituciones con las que colaboramos.
Con Madre Coraje, un grupo de alumnas ha comenzado a trabajar en la tienda de artículos de segunda mano, mientras que otro grupo participa en un taller de corte y confección para customizar ropa usada y poder darle una nueva vida y un nuevo valor, ya que serán puestas a la venta.
Por otro lado, esta semana, nuestros alumnos del voluntariado lector han comenzado a acudir a la Residencia de ancianos La Torre, adonde van a desplazarse dos veces en semana para leer con un grupo de residentes y compartir sus experiencias.
En las próximas semanas, otros alumnos comenzarán a trabajar como voluntarios con otras organizaciones. Un total de 60 alumnos de 4º de ESO y Bachillerato se han enrolado este curso en el grupo de voluntariado ECI en el que vivirán multitud de experiencias solidarias que les harán crecer como mejores personas. Estamos muy orgullosos de ellos.
Our ECI volunteer pupils have begun their solidarity work in the past few weeks with some of the organisations and institutions we collaborate with.
A group of pupils stated to work in the second-hand shop with Madre Coraje, others take part in a tailoring workshop to customise second hand clothes and hence give them a new purpose and value as they will later be sold.
Meanwhile, our reading volunteers started this week in the OAP Home La Torre, where they will go twice a week to read with a group of residents and share their experiences.
Another group of volunteers will start with other organisations in the next few weeks. A total of 60 Secondary year 4 and Sixth Form pupils enrolled the ECI volunteer group this year, where they will no doubt live experiences which will help them grow. We are very proud of them.
