¡Eureka! El martes pasado celebramos el Día de la Ciencia en El Centro Inglés. Y vaya día que hemos tenido. Los alumnos de 4º ESO junto con su profesor de ciencia habían preparado una plétora de actividades para todo el colegio.
Comenzamos el día con nuestra tradicional asamblea para todo el Colegio con preguntas clave como… ¿Por qué el mar es salado? y ¿Por qué brillan las luciérnagas? Además recibimos los resultados de nuestra competición de poesía científica.
Tras la asamblea llegó el momento de comenzar los talleres con experimentos, demostraciones, un juego ecológico, una búsqueda del tesoro científico, nuestras competiciones UCMAS y mucho más.
En la segunda planta disfrutamos de unas fascinantes presentaciones ofrecidas por científicos líderes en las ramas de la grafología y la biomedicina.
Los alumnos pasaron un día genial, aprendieron mucho y aún más importante vieron que la ciencia es tan divertida como fascinante.
Eureka!!! Today was Science Day at The English Centre. And what a day we had. The pupils from Year 4 secondary together with their science teachers had prepared a plethora of scientific activities for the whole school.
We started the day with our traditional whole school assembly with some of the science behind the key questions like “why is the sea salty?” and “why do fire flies glow?”…we also had the results of our scientific poetry competition.
After assembly it was time for the workshops to start. There were experiments, demonstrations, an ecological game, a scientific treasure hunt, our UCMAS competitions and much much more.
On the second floor there were some fascinating presentations from leading scientists in the field of graphology and biomedicine.
The pupils had a great day, learnt a lot and, most importantly, saw that science is both fun and fascinating.
