Celebrando World Nursery Rhyme Week
Si hay algo que recordamos de nuestra infancia, tiene que ser, por supuesto las nanas y las rimas. Las escuchamos como bebés, las aprendemos como niños, hasta que cuando tenemos nuestros propios hijos, las vamos pasando a la generación siguiente.
Las rimas tradicionales son reconfortantes, nos llevan a recuerdos felices: la muñeca con el vestido azul, el lagarto que llora, etc., etc., Así que este noviembre, hemos dedicado a traer un poco de magia al Departamento de Early Years, celebrando estas rimas tradicionales muy queridas en inglés durante World Nursery Rhyme Week(La Semana Mundial de la Rima Tradicional).
¿Qué es la World Nursery Rhyme Week?
World Nursery Rhyme Week es una iniciativa annual y global para “promocionar la importancia de las rimas en el desarollo y educación infantil”. Empezó en 2013 y desde entonces se ha ido creciendo hasta incorporar más de 4 milliones de participantes de 103 paises. Nosotros hemos celebrado este evento en el colegio durante toda la semana desde el 14 hasta el 18 de noviembre.
Nuestras Actividades
Durante esta semana, hemos disfrutado de muchas actividades dentro y fuera de la clase, incluyendo el reto de Un Rima al Día: the Rhyme-a-Day Challenge, dondé hemos hecho acesorios, nos hemos vestido y recitado las cinco rimas oficiales de la semana: The Big Ship Sails, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Once I caught a fish alive, Bingo, Five Little Speckled Frogs, Twinkle Twinkle.
Hemos grabado y mandado a casa nuestras actuaciones y sabemos que las familias también se han cooperado, practicando en casa. Hemos tenido asambleas especiales para celebrar nuestros logros, con todo tipo de actividad divertida como rimas saltando la comba, juegos dando las palmas, hasta gimkanas y carreras de rimas. Incluso hemos hecho Cake Pops del pastelero en nuestro Taller de Cocina. ¡Ha sido una semana muy divertida!
Celebrating World Nursery Rhyme Week
If there is anything that people remember about their early childhood, then it surely has to be nursery rhymes. We hear them as babies, learn them as infants and then, when we have children ourselves as adults, we pass them on by singing them to our children too.
Nursery rhymes are comforting, they bring back happy memories of dancing round the mulberry bush or making our hands ‘twinkle’ like stars. And so, this November, we hope to bring a little bit of magic into the English Centre Early Years Department, celebrating these much-loved rhymes during World Nursery Rhyme Week.
What is World Nursery Rhyme Week?
World Nursery Rhyme Week is an annual, global initiative “to promote the importance of nursery rhymes in early childhood development and education.”
It was started in 2013 and since then, over four million children from 103 countries have taken part in the week which is open to anyone who works with, or has children under the age of 7. We have celebrated this week in the Early Years Department from the 14th to 18th November 2022.
Our Activities
During this week, we have enjoyed many activities in and out of the classroom, including the Rhyme-a-Day Challenge, where we have made accessories, dressed up in class and recited the five official rhymes of the week: The Big Ship Sails, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Once I caught a fish alive, Bingo, Five Little Speckled Frogs, Twinkle Twinkle. We’ve been recording our performances and sending them home. We know that families have been cooperating by practicing at home too! We’ve had special assemblies to celebrate our achievements, with all sorts of fun activities like skipping and clapping games, rhyming treasure hunts and rhyming races. We even made special Patta-Cake Cake Pops in our Cookery Workshop. It really was a fun week.
