World Book Day is a charity event held on the first Thursday in March that aims to encourage children and young people to read.
Our pedagogical mission is to provide and give every child equal opportunity to read by making sure that every child and young person is given a book to read- ‘Every child matters’ (DfES).
You children have learnt to appreciate literature and the vast number of activities and meanings that could come out of reading. Through out the day they have waved and congratulated our youngest students (EY) World Book Day Dress Parade.
Our students have proudly received their Reading Competition Rewards and read together the books that they have created amongst them.
They finished off the day with a dance on World Book Day!
