Ayer tuvimos el enorme privilegio de recibir la visita de Don José María Merino, escritor español de enorme prestigio y académico de la Lengua. Los alumnos de 1º de Bachillerato mantuvieron una muy interesante charla entorno a su obra La glorieta de los fugitivos, que los alumnos han leído y trabajado en la asignatura de Literatura. Un encuentro delicioso lleno de sabiduría y sensibilidad.
Don José María Merino hizo, entre otras muchas cosas, un bellísimo alegato en defensa de la lectura y las humanidades que estamos
seguros que nuestros alumnos no olvidarán. Un verdadero honor para nuestro Centro haber vivido esta experiencia. Gracias a todos los que la han hecho posible.
Yesterday we had the privilege of being visited by Mr. José María Merino, a prestigious Spanish writer and Spanish language academic. Pupils from Year 1 in Bachillerato had an interesting talk about his work “La glorieta de los fugitivos”, which they have read and worked on in Literature. A nice encounter that was full of wisdom and sensitivity.
Mr. José María Merino made a beautiful plea in favour of literature and human studies, we are sure our pupils will not forget it. It was a great honour to have him in our School and living this experience. Thanks to all the people who made this possible.
