El taller de cocina de esta semana ha llevado el divertido y entrañable cuento de The Very Hungy Caterpillar al siguiente nivel. Utilizando frutas como ingredientes saludables, los alumnos han creado sus insectos. Las profesoras se han centrado en las matemáticas y han hecho secuencias: fresa – plátano – fresa – plátano para crear sus orugas. De nuevo, hemos aprendido de un modo divertido, uniendo nuestras habilidades de motricidad fina, creatividad y lógica. ¡Los más mayores incluso han intentado crear sus recetas!
Ha sido interesante ver que incluso los que se resisten a probar la fruta “lo intentan” cuando tienen la oportunidad de crear sus propios platos.
This week’s cookery workshop has taken the fun and friendly story of the Hungry Caterpillar to the next level. Using some healthy fruit ingredients, children have created their insects. Through maths, teachers have focused on the idea of making patterns: strawberry, banana, strawberry, banana, to put the caterpillar together. Once again we have learnt, in an entertaining way, how to put our fine-motor, creative and logical skills into practise. Older children have even tried to write a recipe!
It has been interesting to see how even reluctant fruit-eaters will «give it a go» when they have the chance to create their own dish.
