Nuestros alumnos de 3º de ESO han tenido la oportunidad de visitar las Bodegas Osborne hoy. Ha sido una estupenda oportunidad para ellos, ya que han conocido uno de los negocios más importantes de El Puerto de Santa María. Los alumnos aprendieron sobre la historia de la familia Osborne, entendieron el desarrollo de la industria vinícola en la zona, cómo se hacen el Xerez y el brandy, ver como el símbolo del toro se convirtió en un icono español y practicar escanciando vino (o al menos agua) directamente de la bota. Fue un día fantástico y es importante que nuestros alumnos entiendan la economía local y la clase de negocio de talla mundial que tenemos en nuestra zona.
Our pupils from 3º ESO had the chance to visit the Osborne bodega today. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to get to know one of El Puerto de Santa Maria´s most important businesses in more details. Pupils got to find out about the history of the Osborne family, understand the development of the wine industry in the area, learn how sherry and brandy are made, see how the bull symbol has become a Spanish icon and practise pouring wine (or at least water) straight out of the barrel. It was a great day out and it is important that our pupils understand the local economy and the world class businesses we have in the area.
