Los alumnos del Comité de Igualdad y Diversidad están realizando un proyecto muy interesante para nuestros alumnos de Junior school.
Este proyecto consiste en representar una serie de escenas que ocurren por desgracia más veces de las que nos gustaría en las escuelas: alumnos que se ríen de otro cuando sale a exponer y se equivoca, alumnos que se burlan cuando otro suspende una prueba, alumnos que se quedan solos cuando hay que hacer grupos para un trabajo, alumnos que sufren por su condición sexual, por sus gustos en música o vestimenta… etc
Nuestros alumnos del Comité se han infiltrado en las clases de los más pequeños, han recreado algunas de estas situaciones, y ante el asombro de los alumnos del Comité e incluso de los profesores de Junior school que no sabían qué estaba ocurriendo, los más pequeños han reaccionado con comentarios como: «Eso no está bien» «Pobrecito» «¿Por qué os reís?» «No me parece bien».
Posteriormente, nuestros alumnos han explicado la situación, y todos se han comprometido a no reírse de un compañero nunca porque no les gustaría que a ellos les pasase igual.
Con este proyecto desde el Comité tenemos el gran objetivo de educar a los más pequeños para que lleguen a Senior con una mochila cargada de respeto, tolerancia y cariño de una forma impactante y que les hace reflexionar. Gracias a todos.
The pupils of the Equality and Diversity Committee are carrying out a very interesting project for our Junior school pupils.
This project entails representing a series of scenes that unfortunately occur more often than we would like in schools: pupils who laugh at others when they make a mistake, pupils who make fun of others when they fail a test, pupils who are left alone when they have to make groups for a task, pupils who suffer because of their sexual condition, their tastes in music or clothing… etc.
Our Committee pupils have infiltrated the classes of the younger ones, they have recreated some of these situations, and to the astonishment of the pupils of the Committee and even of the teachers of Junior school who did not know what was happening, the younger pupils have reacted with comments like: «That is not right» «Poor thing» «Why are you laughing?» «I do not think it is right».
Afterwards, our pupils explained the situation, and they all committed themselves to never laugh at a classmate because they would not want the same thing to happen to them.
With this project from the Committee, we have the great goal of educating the little ones so that they reach Senior School with a backpack full of respect, tolerance and affection in an impactful and thought-provoking way. Thanks to all of you.
