El pasado lunes se celebró en el Centro la vida de mi madre, nuestra fundadora Mrs. Linda Randell. Una conmemoración según su voluntad, siguiendo sus deseos de llevarla a cabo en su Colegio, junto a su familia, alumnos, personal y la más amplia comunidad educativa. Un acto memorable y muy emotivo, repleto de sensaciones entrañables, en el que participaron todos los alumnos y el personal con canciones, regalos y, cómo no, recordando a nuestra querida Mrs. Randell.
Fue una empresaria de éxito que revolucionó la educación gaditana en 1969, de proyección nacional e internacional, con sus tradiciones inglesas y su espíritu innovador para la época; una defensora de la felicidad, una mujer enérgica con ganas de luchar por nuestro Colegio, por conseguir lo máximo de cada alumno, demostrando su cariño a cada uno de ellos, impulsando los proyectos para hacer sentir a cada alumno único y especial. Esa era nuestra Mrs. Randell y así quería que todos la recordásemos.
Hoy su busto preside Piccadilly, núcleo central de convivencia en El Centro Inglés por donde transitan todos los miembros de la comunidad ECI diariamente aunque, por supuesto, ella estará siempre en todos nuestros corazones y nos guiará en esta maravillosa familia que comenzó hace 50 años.
Continuamos su labor y su sueño, que El Centro Inglés perdure en los tiempos, que continúe siendo el mejor Colegio que puede ser, El Colegio que soñó mi madre y al que dedicó su vida.
Hemos organizado una misa que se celebrará el 13 de mayo a las 18:00h, en la Parroquia Jesucristo Redentor y Nuestra Señora de la Palma.

Last Monday, we celebrated in School the life of my mother, our founder, Mrs. Linda Randell. A commemoration in accordance to her wishes, following her wish to do so in School, with her family, pupils, staff and the wider educational community. In a memorable and very emotional act, full of warm feelings, where he entire staff and pupil body took part with songs, gifts and of course, remembering out dear Mrs. Randell.
She was a successful businesswoman, revolutionising Cadiz education in 1969, of a national and international projection, with her English traditions and her innovating spirit for that time; defender of happiness, an energetic lady eager to always fight for our School, to achieve each pupil’s full potential, showing her love for each and every one of them, sponsoring projects to ensure each pupil felt unique and special. That was our Mrs. Randell and that is how she wanted to be remembered.
Today, her bust presides Piccadilly, core of The English Centre spirit and where all member of the ECI community pass on a daily basis, of course, she will forever be in all our hearts and will guide is in this marvellous family she began 50 years ago.
We continue her work and her dream, for The English Centre to endure throughout time, to continue being the best School it can be, The School my mother dreamed of and to which she dedicated her life.
We have organised a Mass to take place on the 13th of May at 6:00pm in the Jesucristo Redentor y Nuestra Señora de la Palma Parish.
We are grateful for all the affection and love we are receiving these days.
