The transition of pupils through Early Years, especially in stages where they may be changing floor level (Nursery to Reception) can feel a little overwhelming for small children, especially those who are more emotionally immature. It is for this reason that the Moving Up Day exploration session was created:
It is a time when students can get to know their new spaces and teachers in a friendly way, ask questions, explore and prepare themselves for the coming year.
This year, the Early Years pupils from Pre Nursery, Nursery and Reception have visited their new classrooms for next year and have enjoyed asking questions about their new routines. Stage 1 have had a special visit from their tutors in their afternoon graduation party.
It has been a great way to leave the door open and get ready to welcome another school year!
