As part of sharing our good practice with other CICAE member schools, Ms Percival talked about how developing a growth mindset is integral to our PSHE programme. We began embedding Growth Mindset into our programme two years ago and parents may remember hearing about how developing a Growth Mindset is one of our key priorities as a school. We feel that learning about the difference between a fixed and a growth mindset helps our pupils to not give up at the first hurdle. We need our children to understand that, in order to succeed, they may have to overcome a series of challenges along the way but, each time they do this, they develop resilience and strength.
Ms Percival delivered three sessions: the first one to outline the project, the second one was an observed lesson with 3º EPO B, where she talked about the learning pit ,and the final one allowed those who had participated in the experience to share their thoughts and raise any questions.
