Durante la semana de World Nursery Rhyme Week, los alumnos de Early Years han disfrutado de un divertido taller de cocina: Las Galletitas Twinkle Twinkle.
Preparar estas deliciosas galletas elaboradas a mano es una manera entrañable de compartir momentos memorables con ellos, sobre todo en este caso, donde combinamos esta actividad con nuestras rimas tradicionales en inglés, que se relacionan con la cocción: Pat-a-Cake, Pat-a-Cake; 5 Currant Buns o Twinkle Twinkle. Los niños han puesto en práctica varias habilidades de psicomotricidad fina como mezclar, amasar, frotar, espolvorear… además de medir e interpretar instrucciones. Motivar a los niños a que jueguen explorando sus cinco sentidos es una gran oportunidad para ayudarles a aventurarse a probar alimentos, ser imaginativos, participar y aprender en la cocina.

Preparing these delicious handmade biscuits is an endearing way to share memorable moments with them, especially in this case, where we combine this activity with our traditional rhymes in English, which are related to cooking: Pat-a-Cake, Pat-a-Cake; 5 Currant Buns or Twinkle Twinkle. Children have put into practice various fine motor skills such as mixing, kneading, rubbing, sprinkling… in addition to measuring and interpreting instructions. Motivating children to play by exploring their five senses is a great opportunity to help them venture out to try food, be imaginative, participate and learn in the kitchen.
