Los alumnos del Comité de Igualdad y Diversidad han recibido hoy su carnet identificativo con mucha ilusión.
La misma que muestran cada jueves en las reuniones del segundo patio, que tienen como objetivo hacer del colegio un lugar mejor donde la tolerancia, el respeto, la diversidad y la igualdad sean las consignas que, desde Early Years hasta Upper Sixth, nos representen como centro.
Este año, han puesto en marcha varios proyectos: «Cadena de favores», donde cada miembro del Comité realiza un favor a una persona del cole y esta a su vez tendrá que seguir la cadena con más favores. No nos cuesta nada ayudar y hacer feliz a un tercero, sin embargo, ese gesto, puede valer muchísimo para la otra persona.
“Buddy bench” o Banco de amigos en Early Years, para que desde pequeños tengan donde acudir en el caso de sentirse solos.
Y, por último, una campaña de concienciación sobre la empatía con los compañeros de clase que se hará por las clases.
Muchas gracias a todos los componentes (faltan algunos en la foto de Year 1-4 y también los de Sixth Form) y os animamos a los demás a venir a nuestros encuentros. ¡Seguro que tienes muchísimas ideas que aportar al Comité!
The pupils of the Equality and Diversity Committee received their identification card today with great enthusiasm.
The same one that they show every Thursday in the meetings during the second break time, which aim to make the school a better place where tolerance, respect, diversity and equality are the slogans that, from Early Years to Upper Sixth, represent us as a School.
This year, they have launched several projects: «Chain of favors», where each member of the Committee does a favour for a person from the school and they in turn will have to follow the chain with more favours. It takes nothing to help and make a third party happy, however, that gesture can mean a lot to the other person.
«Buddy bench» or Friends Bench in Early Years, so that from a young age they have somewhere to turn in case they feel lonely.
And lastly, an awareness campaign on empathy with classmates that will be carried out during the classes.
Many thanks to all the members (some are not in the photo of Year 1-4 and also those from Sixth Form) and we encourage the rest of you to come to our meetings. I’m sure you have a lot of ideas to bring to the Committee!
