REUNIÓN COMITÉ AMBIENTAL DE EL CENTRO INGLÉS
El pasado 1 de junio se reunió, por última vez en este curso, el comité ambiental de El Centro Inglés. El objetivo; valorar el grado de consecución de los objetivos marcados para este curso académico, plantear algunas mejoras de cara al curso que viene, y decidir la temática ambiental que desarrollaremos, junto con nuestra comunidad educativa, durante el curso 2023-2024.
Agrademos la presencia del consejo de dirección al completo, de nuestro site manager de SODEXO, siempre tan colaborador, y finalmente de algunos de nuestros valiosísimos colaborares que, como viene siendo habitual, ofrecieron interesantes perspectivas sobre los asuntos tratados. A destacar la presencia de D. Carlos Rioja, vicerrector de la UCA, de D. Juan Niño, secretario de la consejería de Sostenibilidad en la provincia de Cádiz y de D. Rafael Rivas, responsable del área de residuos del Ayto. de El Puerto de Santa María.
Después de revisar los proyectos/actividades/iniciativas realizados y escuchar las aportaciones de los presentes, se decidió, casi por unanimidad, la temática para el curso 2023-2024, que centrará sus esfuerzos y sus proyectos educativos en nuestras playas y nuestra mar.
Una reunión productiva en la que, una vez más, se pone de manifiesto el compromiso que nuestro centro tiene con el Medio Ambiente, así como el de las personas que componen este comité, al que volvemos a agradecer sobremanera su presencia y actitud participativa durante el encuentro.
MEETING OF THE ENGLISH CENTRE ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITTEE
On the 1st of June, The English Centre environmental committee met for the last time this academic year. The aim: to assess the degree of achievement of the objectives set for this academic year, to propose some improvements for next year, and to decide the environmental theme that we will develop, together with our educational community, during the academic year 2023-2024.
We are grateful for the presence of the entire board of directors, our site manager SODEXO, always so helpful, and finally some of our invaluable collaborators who, as usual, offered interesting perspectives on the issues discussed. We would like to highlight the presence of Mr. Carlos Rioja, vice-rector of the UCA, Mr. Juan Niño, secretary of the Department of Sustainability in the province of Cadiz and Mr. Rafael Rivas, responsible for the waste area of the City Council of El Puerto de Santa Maria.
After reviewing the projects/activities/initiatives carried out and listening to the contributions of those present, it was decided, almost unanimously, the theme for the academic year 2023-2024, which will focus its efforts and educational projects on our beaches and our sea.
A productive meeting in which, once again, the commitment that our school has with the Environment is made clear, as well as that of the people who make up this committee, whom we would like to thank once again for their presence and participative attitude during the meeting.
