Junior School
Our Junior students have enjoyed a day full of color, creativity, and joy with the celebration of Carnival at school. This activity, held during the PSHE period, allowed students to immerse themselves in the culture of Carnival, not only in Cádiz but also in other parts of the world.
From the beginning of the day, the school hallways were filled with original costumes and smiles. Each class had the opportunity to participate in activities designed to explore the different traditions and cultural expressions that are part of this festivity. Through presentations, artistic activities, and games, students discovered the cultural richness of Carnival and how it is celebrated in different places around the world.
One of the most valuable aspects of this celebration has been the promotion of teamwork and creativity.
We would like to thank families for their support in preparing the costumes. It has been an enriching experience that combined learning and fun in a festive and educational environment.
Nuestros alumnos de Junior han disfrutado de una jornada llena de color, creatividad y alegría con la celebración del Carnaval en el colegio. Esta actividad, realizada durante el periodo de PSHE, ha permitido a los alumnos a sumergirse en la cultura del Carnaval, no solo en Cádiz, sino también en otras partes del mundo.
Desde el inicio del día, los pasillos del colegio se llenaron de disfraces originales y sonrisas. Cada clase tuvo la oportunidad de participar en dinámicas diseñadas para explorar las distintas tradiciones y expresiones culturales que forman parte de esta festividad. A través de presentaciones, actividades artísticas y juegos, los alumnos ha descubierto la riqueza cultural del Carnaval y cómo se celebra en diferentes lugares del mundo.
Uno de los aspectos más valiosos de esta celebración ha sido el trabajo en equipo y la creatividad.
Queremos agradecer a las familias el apoyo en la preparación de los disfraces. Ha sido una experiencia enriquecedora que ha combinado aprendizaje y diversión en un ambiente festivo y educativo.
Early Years
Carnival plays a significant part in the festivities in the bay of Cadiz. In Early Years, we can use festivals and celebrations as a way to support children in understanding what they share and how they differ to other cultures, enjoying the experience and teaching the concept of respect. Carnival helps bring people together, often through family connections. Celebrating Carnival at school gives our pupils a new context and helps bring the experience to life, making it relevant to their needs and motivations. It provides an opportunity to practise the skills we’ve learned in new and exciting ways and nurtures our sense of identity.
El Carnaval juega un papel importante en las festividades de la Bahía de Cádiz. En Early years, podemos utilizar festivales y celebraciones como una manera de ayudar a los alumnos a comprender lo que comparten y cómo se diferencian de otras culturas, disfrutando de la experiencia y enseñando el concepto de respeto. El Carnaval ayuda a unir a las personas, a menudo a través de conexiones familiares. Celebrar el Carnaval en el colegio ofrece a nuestros alumnos un nuevo contexto y ayuda a dar vida a la experiencia, haciéndola relevante para sus necesidades y motivaciones. Proporciona una oportunidad para practicar las habilidades que hemos aprendido de maneras nuevas y emocionantes y fomenta nuestro sentido de identidad.
