Objectives:
- To familiarise children with the process of cooking, to encourage them to actively make use of the fine motor skills associated with cooking, such as cutting.
- To expose them to the language that one would naturally associate with cooking, such as, to cook, to eat and to stir.
- To encourage children to creatively express themselves through the alternative medium of food.
- To generate good habits regarding cleanliness, organisation, manners at the table and handling of food.
- To encourage students to plan and sequence their actions to resolve simple tasks.
- To show that lessons can be taught through using food as a medium.
