Peace Day is an important celebration for all of our students in Early Years and Year 1 because it teaches us the value of kindness, understanding, and respect for others.
By learning about peace in the classroom, we begin to understand how our actions can create harmony from our small school community to the whole world.
Our special Peace Day Assembly has been an opportunity to promote friendship, talk about using our words to resolve conflicts peacefully, and appreciate differences.
In the English Centre, we are doing our little bit to build a foundation for understanding and cooperation, which are essential skills for growing up in a diverse, interconnected world. Peace Day reminds our students through songs, actions and discussion that every small act of kindness can make a big difference in creating a peaceful world to live in.
