Durante todo el día de ayer los alumnos de Senior School, participaron entusiasmados en el V Torneo de Debates ECI. El tema fue “ ¿Son conscientes los gobiernos de la necesidad de tomar medidas que frenen el cambio climático?”.
Los alumnos aplicaron sus conocimientos científicos, lingüísticos, de oratoria y debate con gran nivel. Todos pudimos aprender mucho.
El Proyecto CICERÓN trata de dotar a nuestros alumnos de las herramientas necesarias para llevar a cabo debates desde el respeto, el espíritu crítico y la argumentación. Fue muy destacable la implicación de todos para que la jornada fuera extraordinaria. Muchos participantes dejaron “boquiabiertos” a sus compañeros con sus argumentos y la elegante manera de debatir. Queremos felicitar a todos los participantes por hacer que nuestro Torneo de Debates haya alcanzado un gran nivel. Han sido más de 70 participantes que han dedicado parte de su tiempo en leer, informarse, buscar evidencias….¡Gracias a todos!
Throughout the day yesterday Senior School pupils participated enthusiastically in the V ECI Debate Tournament. The theme was «Are governments aware of the need to take action to curb climate change?»
The pupils applied their scientific, linguistic, public speaking and debate knowledge at a high level. We were all able to learn a lot.
The CICERO Project tries to provide our pupils with the necessary tools to carry out debates from respect, critical spirit and argumentation. It was very remarkable the involvement of all to make the day extraordinary. Many participants left their colleagues «speechless» with their arguments and the elegant way of debating. We want to congratulate all the participants for making our Debate Tournament a great level. There have been more than 70 participants who have dedicated part of their time to reading, informing themselves, looking for evidence… Thank you all!
