Taller de Cocina – 3 años

Como cada trimestre, nuestros pequeños de Early Years han realizado el taller de cocina. En este caso, nos hemos centrado en las frutas típicas de la época: naranjas, manzanas, peras, piñas, etc. Cada alumno ha recibido sus porciones y ha cortado sus frutas con mucha delicadeza preparando su «Fruit Salad» en un bol. Durante la realización de nuestra receta, hemos contado, repasado colores y sabores y enfocado nuestra atención en las características propias del fruto. Siguiendo nuestro lema «hands-on-hearts», han aprendido de primera mano, desarrollando y demostrando habilidades nuevas como exprimir naranjas. Hemos disfrutado muchísimo y aprendido lo importante que es para nuestro cuerpo tomar frutas y zumos recién exprimidos. Los alumnos han comido su plato y a algunos les ha sabido a poco. ¡Cuánto nos gusta cocinar!

As we do every term, our Early Years pupils carried out a cookery workshop. In this case, we focused on seasonal fruit; oranges, apples, pears, pineapples etc. each pupil received their portions and proceeded to slice them very delicately to prepare their own “Fruit Salad” in a bowl. As we followed our recipe, we counted, went over the colours and flavours as we focused our attention on each fruit’s characteristics. Following our “hands-on-hearts” motto, pupils experimented firs hand, developing and proving newly acquired abilities such as squeezing oranges. We have enjoyed this activity very much and also learned it is very important for our bodies to eat fruit and drink freshly squeezed juices. Pupils eat their salads and some of them thought it wasn’t enough. Oh we love to cook!
