Year 2 enjoyed outdoor learning at the beach. It was a beautiful sunny day at Playa Muralla and we spent our time on four activities.
We took our inspiration from the famous British environmental sculptor, Andy Goldsworthy, and used materials from the natural environment to create beach sculptures, which we photographed as we knew that the tide would wash them away. Then we made beaches in our empty water bottles and hunted for beach treasure. We observed and painted the beach landscape using watercolours- we have some fantastic artists!
We enjoyed learning in our seaside classroom and, of course, had fantastic fun with all of our friends and teachers.
