ESPECTACULAR JORNADA 3 DE LA LIGA LED
Esta semana ha tenido lugar en nuestro Centro, el primer partido de la segunda vuelta de la LIGA LED, una competición que afronta su primera edición en colegios de primaria y en la que los participantes son de categoría Alevín (5° y 6° de primaria) femenina y masculina.
En esta 3° jornada se enfrentaban nuestro Colegio, El Centro Inglés y el colegio Las Mercedes de La Línea de la Concepción.
El colegio visitante en su categoría femenina, llegaba tras encajar una durísima derrota en la primera vuelta. Nuestras chicas desde el principio se mostraron firmes en su objetivo y ganaron en aquella ocasión con mucha solvencia, con un contundente 2-8, por lo que se ponía «muy de cara» nuestra clasificación para la siguiente ronda. No obstante, no había lugar para confiarse y nuestras chicas mostraron total respeto y seriedad ante el rival, por lo que sabían que debían seguir poniendo todo el esfuerzo y concentración posible para certificar su clasificación. Así fue, las chicas fueron implacables en la pista y volvieron a golear al equipo rival. Todas y cada una de ellas jugando, esforzándose y aportando para el equipo: un muro en la portería, una defensa casi infranqueable, pases, regates y goles, hasta 8 goles! Repitiéndose el resultado de la ida, pero en el partido de vuelta. 8-2 de nuevo gracias a nuestras 7 campeonas. Ana Parra, Maria Paz Merello, Lucía Galnares, Elena Barrera, Julia Peña, Clara Sahagún y Micaela Soto «Mica». Un equipo este femenino que hoy nos daba esa enorme alegría pero que seguro no será la única porque ahora nos representarán en la siguiente fase, donde se enfrentarán a las campeonas de la fase de Málaga. Que se preparen nuestras rivales porque vamos a por todas. EQUIPAZO!
Tras finalizar ese encuentro, llegaba el turno de nuestros chicos. Estos se enfrentaban a un rival, que en la primera jornada nos hizo caer de forma estrepitosa. Un descalabro cuyo marcador curiosamente coincidía en el que se había dado a nuestro favor en el caso de las chicas. 8-2. Se nos planteaba un partido muy difícil, casi imposible, pero la clave estaba ahí, en «el casi» porque nuestros chicos aún tenían posibilidades. No sería fácil pues debíamos no solo ganarles, sino que teníamos que hacerlo con la misma ventaja de goles que encajamos en ese primer partido. Así que ahí estaban nuestros chicos, alentados por todos sus compañeros y en las nuestras instalaciones ECI, en su casa, para tratar de remontar como sucede en las grandes gestas deportivas que ellos mismos admiran en el deporte profesional. Esos hitos deportivos de noches mágicas de Champions. Y así lo hicieron. Por un momento, durante los 50 minutos que duró el partido, nuestros chicos lo dieron todo, fueron UNO, muy unidos como EQUIPO. Luchando, esforzándose, compitiendo con gran concentración, dejándose la piel en el campo (literalmente) , por sus compañeros y por su colegio.
Así, sin darse jamás por vencidos, lograron finalmente hacerse con la victoria pese a que el rival llegase a empatar y llegar al descanso con tablas en el marcador 3-3. Tras el descanso el equipo puso toda la carne en el asador para acabar llevándose la victoria con un resultado final de 9-3. Objetivo cumplido pues ahora dependemos de nosotros mismos para clasificarnos. Un equipo integrado por Ale Moy, Manuel Reguera, Alessandro Macías, Javier Márquez, Daniel Márquez, Daniel Sicre, Francisco Zambrana, Santiago Zambrana, Miguel González, Eduardo Osborne, Raúl Blanco y Álvaro Sebas.
Quedan 2 jornadas y todo por decidir aunque seguro, con la pasión y el fútbol que han puesto hoy sobre la pista, estaremos en la siguiente ronda, para poder seguir luciendo con orgullo el escudo, la camiseta de nuestro Centro y haciendo que resuene una y otra vez nuestro grito, 1,2,3… EL CENTRO INGLÉS
SPECTACULAR DAY 3 OF THE LED LEAGUE
This week our School hosted the first match of the second round of the LED LEAGUE, a competition which is in its first edition in primary schools and in which the participants are in the Alevín category (5th and 6th year of primary school) for girls and boys.
On this 3rd day, our school, The English Centre and the school Las Mercedes de La Línea de la Concepción faced each other.
The visiting school in the female category, came after a very tough defeat in the first round. Our girls were firm from the beginning in their objective and won on that occasion very convincingly, with a resounding 2-8, hence our classification to the next round was «quite clear». However, there was no room for complacency and our girls showed total respect and seriousness towards their opponents, so they knew that they had to continue to put in all the effort and concentration possible to certify their qualification. And so it was, the girls were relentless on the pitch and once again beat their opponents. Each and every one of them playing, working hard and contributing to the team: a wall before the goalposts, an almost inaccessible defence, passes, dribbles and goals, up to 8 goals! Repeating the result of the first leg, but in the second leg. 8-2 again thanks to our 7 champions. Ana Parra, Maria Paz Merello, Lucia Galnares, Elena Barrera, Julia Peña, Clara Sahagún and Micaela Soto «Mica». A girls’ team that today gave us this great joy but that surely will not be the only one because now they will represent us in the next phase, where they will face the champions of the phase of Malaga. Let our rivals get ready because we are going all out. SUPER TEAM!
After that match, it was the turn of our boys. They were up against a rival, who in the first matchday made us fall big time. A defeat, the score curiously coincided with the one in our favour in the case of the girls. 8-2. It was a very difficult match, almost impossible, but the key was there, in the «almost» because our boys still had a chance. It would not be easy because we had not only to beat them, but we had to do it with the same goal advantage that we conceded in that first game. So there our boys were, encouraged by all their teammates and in our ECI facilities, at home, to try to come back as happens in the great sporting feats that they themselves admire in professional sport. Those sporting milestones of magical Champions League nights. And so, they did. For a moment, during the 50 minutes that the match lasted, our boys gave their all, they were ONE, very united as a TEAM. Fighting, striving, competing with great concentration, giving their all on the pitch (literally), for their teammates and for their school.
And so, without ever giving up, they finally managed to achieve the victory despite their opponents equalising and reaching half time with a 3-3 draw. After the break the team gave everything they had to win the game with a final score of 9-3. Objective achieved as we now depend on ourselves to qualify. There are 2 rounds left and everything is still to be decided, but surely, with the passion and football that they have put on the court today, we will be in the next round, to be able to continue proudly wearing the shield, the shirt of our Centre and making our cry resound again and again, 1,2,3….
