Un gesto más, un paso más, un logro más, ¡LA MISMA ACTITUD DE COMPROMISO con el medio ambiente!
Estamos en plena semana de la movilidad sostenible, promoviendo entre nuestras familias el uso de medios más ecológicos para venir al cole y, en esta línea, El Centro Inglés muestra de nuevo su compromiso con el medio ambiente instalando nuevos paneles solares.
Dentro del compromiso ECI con los ODS, el Colegio ya contaba con una instalación de energía solar térmica que alimenta de agua caliente la piscina, con un importante ahorro energético que repercute en lo económico y, naturalmente, reduce las emisiones de CO2. Ahora, además, contaremos con una importante superficie de paneles solares que aportarán parte de la energía que el centro consume a diario. Esperamos amortizar la inversión en unos años, pero la reducción del consumo y de las emisiones derivadas del mismo se reducirán desde el mismo momento en que los paneles estén operativos.
Trataremos de contabilizar en qué medida esta inversión ha reducido las emisiones. Les iremos informando de esta reducción en futuras comunicaciones. De momento, es tiempo de celebrar y felicitarnos por saber que, con vuestra ayuda y con un poco de actitud, la comunidad de ECI puede y QUIERE reducir su huella ecológica poco a poco…

One more gesture, one more step, one more achievement, THE SAME ATTITUDE OF COMMITMENT with the environment!
We are in the middle of sustainable mobility week, promoting among our families the use of greener means to come to school and, in this line, The English Centre shows again its commitment with the environment by installing new solar panels.
Within the ECI commitment to the SDGs, the School already had a solar thermal energy installation that feeds the pool with hot water, with significant energy savings that have an economic impact and, naturally, reduce CO2 emissions. Now, in addition, we will have an important surface of solar panels that will provide part of the energy that the Centre consumes daily. We expect to pay off the investment in a few years, but the reduction in consumption and emissions derived from it will be reduced from the moment the panels are operational.
We will try to account for the extent to which this investment has reduced emissions. We will inform you of this reduction in future communications. For now, it is time to celebrate and congratulate ourselves for knowing that, with your help and with a little attitude, the ECI community can and WANTS to reduce its ecological footprint little by little…
