Dado que estas han sido nuestras últimas asambleas de celebración este año, ha sido apropiado comprobar que nuestro calendario del mes de mayo de Acción por la Felicidad se centró en lo que podemos hacer para encontrar un propósito y significado en nuestras vidas. Como colegio, nos ha encantado la participación de los alumnos dentro y fuera del aula, especialmente, su compromiso de hacer del mundo un lugar mejor. Los alumnos han participado activamente en la contribución a los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de las Naciones Unidas a través de nuestro Comité Ambiental, Comité de Responsabilidad Social y Comité de Igualdad y Diversidad este curso. Los alumnos de último curso también han liderado muchas iniciativas en Early Years y Junior School, inculcando en nuestros alumnos más jóvenes la importancia de hacer también lo que puedan.
Given that these were our last celebration assemblies this year, it was fitting to see that our Action for Happiness Meaningful May calendar this month focussed on what we can do to find purpose and meaning in our lives. As a school, we have been delighted with pupil participation in and out of the classroom, especially with their commitment to making the world a better place. Pupils have been actively involved in contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals through our Environmental Committee, Social Responsibility Committee and Equality and Diversity Committee this year. Senior students have led many initiatives in Early Years and Junior School as well, instilling in our youngest pupils the importance of doing what they can too.
También nos centramos en los Valores de los Alumnos de ECI de este mes y del anterior: Honestidad y Sinceridad. Hablamos de que se puede perder la confianza fácilmente entre los miembros de nuestra familia y amigos cuando mentimos y que, al no ser honestos, nos engañamos a nosotros mismos.
We also focussed on this month´s and last´s ECI Pupil Values: Honesty and Truthfulness. We spoke about how easily trust can be lost amongst our family and friends when we lie and that by not being honest, we deceive ourselves.
