Esta semana, comenzamos el Año Nuevo con nuestras Asambleas de Celebración en Primaria y ¡hemos tenido mucho que celebrar! Además de que varios alumnos de 1º a 4º EPO vayan a recibir certificados (sus tutores se los entregarán más tarde esta semana), cuatro estudiantes han logrado recibir su pin bronce por haber recibido 10 o más “commendations” de sus profesores:

- Lola Toscano Cavero
- Claire Deisley
- Ana Isabel Westberg Harana
Ms Smith también les ha hablado sobre las Houses y les ha informado que St David´s son los líderes actuales. Los House Captains trabajaron durante el primer trimestre para alentar a los miembros de su equipo a participar en los retos que les habían puesto, uno de los cuales era pensar en otras ideas para eventos House. ¡Mr Dawe y Ms Smith están encantados con todas sus ideas, todas muy creativas!
Os recordamos que las competiciones de dibujo de 1º y 2º EPO, de fotos de 3º y 4º de EPO, y de escritura creativa de 5º y 6º EPO sobre dos de nuestros valores ECI, la generosidad y la amabilidad, se cerrarán este viernes, 15 de enero, para darles un poquito más de tiempo a los niños para participar. ¡Esperamos que participen muchos alumnos!
Por último, Ms Smith les ha hablado sobre el año nuevo, siempre hay la posibilidad de empezar algo de nuevo. Les ha animado a que visualicen el calendario de Action for Happiness, qué hacer para tener enero feliz. Les aconseja que pasen unos minutos al inicio de cada día de reflexión, para ayudarles a estar preparados y poder disfrutar su aprendizaje y el tiempo que pasan con sus compañeros y familia.
This week, we start the New Year with our Celebration Assemblies in Primary and we have a lot to celebrate! Apart from the fact various Primary Year 1 to 4 pupils are going to receive certificates (their tutors will present them with the certificates later this week), four pupils have achieved their bronze pin having received 10 or more “commendations” from their teachers:

Ms. Smith also spoke to them about the Houses and has informed them that St. David’s are currently ahead. The House Captains worked hard the first term encouraging their teams to take part in the challenged they had been presented with, one of which, was to think of other ideas for House events. Mr Dawe and Ms Smith are delighted with all their ideas, all very creative!
We would like to remind you that the art competition for Primary years 1 and 2, the creative writing one about two of our ECI values, generosity and kindness, for years 5 and 6, will end this Friday 15th of January in order to give children a little more time to participate. We hope a lot of pupils take part!
Lastly, Ms. Smith spoke about the new year, there is always an opportunity to start something new. Ms Smith encouraged them to visualise the Action for Happiness calendar, what to do to have a happy January, encouraging them to spend a few minutes at the beginning of each day to think, the help them be prepared and enjoy learning and the time they spend with peers and family.
