Hoy rendimos homenaje a nuestra fundadora coincidiendo con el día de su cumpleaños en el I Founder´s Day.
El Centro ha preparado una gran variedad de actividades para la comunidad y el alumnado. Desde el inicio del día han compartido en Asamblea la vida y obra de la Fundadora, así como, su Visión de la Educación llevando por bandera el lema Lifelong love of learning (Amor al aprendizaje de por vida). Los alumnos han descubierto más sobre su vida y han realizado un gran mural en el que ha participado toda la Comunidad.
Para hacer más eco a su Fundadora el Colegio renombra uno de sus nuevos edificios con Linda M. Randell Building, edificio de Recepción y de oficinas. También crea una zona ajardinada (Secret Garden) con elementos de la antigua finca llamada “El Torreón” y su explicación histórica. Además para que todos los alumnos la conozcan, sobre todo los más pequeños, Mrs Linda Randell estará presente en diferentes ubicaciones del Colegio con sus cuadros, pintados por ella misma como gran amante de la pintura, vinilos sobre sus orígenes galeses y su flor preferida el daffodil.
Today we paid tribute to our founder coinciding with her birthday on this our I Founder’s Day.
The School has prepared a wide variety of activities for the entire community and pupils. We began the day sharing our founder’s life and work in an Assembly, as well as her Vision regarding Education proudly living the motto Lifelong Love of Learning. Pupils discovered more about her life and elaborated a huge mural the entire Community has taken part in.
In order to pay tribute to the School Founder, one of the new buildings has been renamed as Linda M. Randell Building, Reception and offices building. An new area has also been designed within the Secret Garden, adding elements of the old El Torreon building with a brief history explanation. Moreover, in order for all pupils to know more about her, especially the younger ones, Linda M. Randell will be present in various parts of the school via her paintings, painted by her as the wonderful painting admirer she was, vinyls of her Welsh origins and her favourite flower, the daffodil.
