Un año más el taller de la Oferta Educativa Municipal “Vamos a querernos bien” ha formado parte de nuestras actividades complementarias organizadas por el Departamento de Orientación y la Concejalía de Igualdad del Ayuntamiento portuense en colaboración con Educación.
Paloma Tosar y los miembros de su equipo, han impartido el taller intentando trasladar al alumnado valores en pro de la igualdad. En la primera parte de la actividad el grupo se divide entre chicos y chicas y cada uno realiza una sesión. En un caso se imparte “autodefensa para chicas” y en el otro “las nuevas masculinidades”. Al final, ambos participan en una sesión conjunta.
La actividad ayuda a las alumnas a identificar actitudes y comportamientos sexistas en todos los planos de la vida como primer paso para eliminar la violencia de género. Se analiza el origen, características, consecuencias y cómo atenuar los miedos, incluso, acabar con ellos. Se estudia como cambiar el rol de “victima-objeto” por el de “persona-sujeto” a través de herramientas psicológicas y físicas. Igualmente, se dan pautas para aprender a defenderse ante un ataque físico.
Mientras, los alumnos han profundizado en cómo se construyen las identidades de los hombres y las mujeres, qué papel juegan en nuestra socialización los roles y estereotipos de género, y, por tanto, cómo se crean las desigualdades.
En una tercera y última etapa del taller, el grupo al completo realiza una puesta en común de todos los asuntos tratados.
Los alumnos de 2º de la ESO han participado activamente y se les ha visto disfrutar de la actividad.
The Municipal Education Offer workshop “Lets love each other” has once again become part of our complementary activities organised by the Guidance Department and the local Town Hall Equality Council in collaboration with Education.
Paloma Tosar and the members of her team have offered a workshop aiming to instil pro-equality values in our pupils. During the first part, the group is divided into boys and girls group and they take part in a session. In one case they teach “self-defence for girls” and in the other “The new masculinities”, after which they both participate in a joint session.
The activity helps girls identify sexist attitudes and behaviours in all fields of life as a first step to eliminate gender violence. They analysed the origin, characteristics, consequences and how to attenuate fears, even how to overcome these. They addressed how to change the “victim-object” role for a “person-subject” role through psychological and physical tools. They were also provided with guidelines on how to defend themselves before a physical attack.
Meanwhile, the boys received insight on how men and women’s identities are built, the role they play in our socialisation of these roles and gender stereotypes, therefore, how inequality is created.
In the third and final stage of the workshop, the group as a whole put the addressed issues in common.
Secondary year 2 pupils took active part and enjoyed the activity.
