APADRINAMIENTO DE LA PLAYA DE LA MURALLA
El pasado 19 de abril tuvo lugar una reunión a tres bandas en el Área de Medio Ambiente del Excmo. Ayto. de El Puerto de Santa María. D. Enrique Montero, responsable del proyecto ECOPUERTOS y representantes de nuestro Departamento de Ciencias, se reunieron con el Concejal de Medio Ambiente, D. Jose Luis Bueno y con D. Juan Pedro Rodríguez, responsable de playas del citado Ayuntamiento.
En la reunión, se sentaron las bases de la que esperamos sea una prospera colaboración en materia de Medio Ambiente, cuyo primer proyecto consistirá en el apadrinamiento, por parte de los alumnos de El Centro Inglés, de la Playa de la Muralla. Nuestros alumnos visitarán la playa varias veces al año y la mantendrán limpia, al tiempo que analizan los residuos recogidos y el origen de los mismos.
Desde aquí, queremos agradecer a D. Jose Luis Bueno y a D. Juan Pedro Rodríguez, la atención y la buena disposición que en todo momento mostraron hacia nosotros y hacia el proyecto propuesto.
Seguiremos informando sobre este proyecto, así como de todas las acciones que, para la reducción de la huella ecológica del centro, emprenda el Aula de Sostenibilidad…
PATRONAGE OF LA MURALLA BEACH
A three-party meeting took place in the Environment Sector of the El Puerto de Santa Maria Town Hall last 19th of April. Mr. Enrique Montero, responsible for the ECOPUERTOS project and the representatives of our Science Department met with the Environment Chancellor Mr. Jose Luis Bueno and with Mr. Juan Pedro Rodríguez, responsible for beaches in the aforementioned Town Hall.
At the meeting, the bases of what we hope is a prosperous collaboration regarding environmental matter were set, the first project of which includes the patronage, by The English Centre pupils, of the Muralla Beach. Our pupils will visit the beach various times a year and will keep it clean, and at the same time analyse the residues collected and the origin of these residues.
We would like to thank Mr. Jose Luis Bueno and Mr. Juan Pedro Rodríguez for their attention and their good disposition displayed at all times towards us and of course towards the project itself.
We will continue informing about this project, as well as on all other steps taken to reduce the School carbon print, launched by the Sustainability Class.
