Hoy hemos tenido un día bastante intenso. Como cada mañana nos levantamos muy temprano, desayunamos y nuestro minibús nos lleva al colegio. Hoy había planes variados para las tres primeras lecciones: clases combinadas de biología, física, química y geología, clases de cocina tradicional galesa en unas aulas-cocina sencillamente espectaculares y una clase de física aplicada con varios experimentos que nuestros alumnos han disfrutado y comentado muchísimo.
Almuerzo animado y, por fin, la esperada salida a Cardiff a comprar. Una hora de viaje en Bus para charlar y cantar, que bien cantan siempre estos británicos, y al llegar a la ciudad: una sorpresa inesperada, la ciudad está tomada por cientos de universitarios que visten camisetas rojas o verdes con el mismo texto escrito. Hoy se celebra el “Varsity”: competición multi-deporte entre las universidades de Cardiff (camiseta Roja) y Swansea (camiseta verde). Ambientazo y condiciones atmosféricas envidiables (incluso para un español), con temperaturas más que agradables. Tiempo libre para comprar y disfrutar del día en la preciosa capital del reino del dragón.
Finalmente, recogida y vuelta a Swansea para ir directamente a una pseudofiesta de despedida.
Larga e intensa jornada. Mañana, ultimo día de estancia, habrá alguna lagrimita que otra… pero desde luego ¡la experiencia ha merecido la pena!
Today we had a pretty intense day. As every morning we got up very esrly, had breakfast and went on our minibus to school. There were a number of plans today for the first three lessons: combined biology, physics, chemistry and geology classes, Welsh traditional cooking lessons in spectacular kitchen-classrooms and an applied physics class with several experiments that our pupils enjoyed and talked about very much.
We had a fun lunch and, at last, our walk around Cardiff for shopping. One hour by bus to chat and sing, these British people sing so well, to get to the city: an inexpected surprise, the city is taken by university students wearing red or green tops with the same word written. Today they were celebrating Varsity: a multisports competition among Cardiff (red tops) and Swansea (green tops) universities. It was a great atmosphere with amazing weather (even fora Spaniard) with nice temperature. Some free time for shopping and enjoying the day in the beautiful capital city from the dragon kingdom.
Finally they were picked up and got back to Swansea to attend a goodbye party.
It was a long and intense day. Tomorrow, our last day here, there will be some tears but we are sure the experience was worthy.
