Un delicioso aroma a tortitas impregnaba ayer los pasillos mientras los alumnos de 5º vivían esta gran tradición británica llamada Pancake Day, que se celebra el día antes del Miércoles de Ceniza, el Shrove Tuesday. Los alumnos de 5º tuvieron que trabajar en grupos para seguir las instrucciones y la preparación, entender las guías de salud y seguridad, medir y hacer la masa para las tortitas. Lo mejor llegó al final, cuando al fin pudieron degustar sus magníficas tortitas caseras.
There was a delicious smell of pancakes drifting down the corridors yesterday as pupils from Year 5 celebrated this British tradition. The day before lent is Shrove Tuesday and in Britain they use up the ingredients in the cupboard by making pancakes. Year 5 pupils had to work in groups to understand instructions, follow health and safety guidelines, measure and make the batter for their pancakes. The best bit about the activity was tasting them at the end.
