Our Students recently participated for the first time in the III Computer Olympiad of Cádiz, hosted by the University of Cádiz at the Escuela Superior de Ingeniería.
The Olympiad forms part of the Spanish Informatics Olympiad programme and brings together students from across the region to tackle challenging problems in algorithms, logical reasoning and programming, testing their analytical thinking and computational skills.
We are especially proud to congratulate Jorge Luo Zhang Shang, who was awarded the Gold Medal in the Cádiz local phase of the Olympiad, achieving the highest score among the students competing at the Cádiz venue and receiving special recognition during the closing ceremony at the university.
We would also like to recognise the students who proudly represented ECI in this competition:
- José Perales Garrido (Y13)
- Juan Romero Cussen (Y13)
- Angel Cosgaya Grano de Oro (Y11)
As this was the first time El Centro Inglés has participated in this prestigious academic competition, we are extremely proud of the enthusiasm, dedication and resilience shown by all our students. Their participation reflects the growing strength of the school’s STEAM and Science programmes, which continue to encourage students to develop strong skills in computational thinking, problem solving and innovation.
