🌿🏅 Biodiversity Challenge Winner Announcement! 🏅🌿
A huge congratulations to Javier Copano, the winner of our recent school biodiversity challenge! 👏
Over the winter challenge period, students were invited to explore local nature around El Puerto and record species using the iNaturalist app. The goal was to find and log as many of the 10 target species as possible — with at least 5 needed to earn a biodiversity badge.
🌟 Javier correctly identified and recorded 6 different species from the challenge list, showing fantastic observation skills and enthusiasm for local wildlife.
Projects like this are a wonderful way for students to connect with the biodiversity on their doorstep — from birds and wildflowers to coastal life — while contributing real observations to global citizen science.
We’re proud to see such curiosity and care for nature in our school community. 💚
