The students from Nursery, Reception and Year 1 have been to visit the school library this week.
With this visit, pupils have discovered a wide range of books and have learnt about the rules of a library and how it works. The librarian has explained about different types of books, how to look after them and has even read them a story!
We know that visiting the school library will provide our pupils with a wonderful opportunity to independently explore and enjoy books, enhancing sharing and talk about their contents. In this way, the library can help to nurture our pupils’ curiosity about storytelling, build good habits and contribute to a lifelong habit of reading.
We are looking forward to another visit next term!
